The location was excxelent ;we could take the train without leaving the airport, but we had to go through emigrations every time we needed to go to the train station or to the city which made it rather difficult . We were not aware of the location of the hotel when we arrived at the airport. the staff was courtuous and helpfull. Jack
travellers should be aware of the actual location of the hotel ,lining up at emigration every time you needed to take the train or to go to the city was a bit difficult
I like Mercure because Ive stayed here in March and they honored by giving me the same room again this July. I always get a good night's sleep when I stay in that room. The room is much cleaner this time, the last time, the carpet seem to have some dirt which meant it wasnt really vacuumed but I was to tired to complain. But despite that I still chose Mercure because of location and its cleaner. I always fly KLM and the location is perfect for me when i need to go to the business lounge. The staff are definitely very friendly and speaks good English. I have made another booking at Mercure thru Booked.net in September and requested for the same room.
we had an overnight connection through schiphol. this hotel, inside transit, was very, very convenient. we would definitely use it again in the same situation.
The functionality to my trip
I selected this hotel for its location in the airport terminal. It's very convenient to just go from there to the flight in the morning.
It's very hard to find because there is no sign on the exterior of the airport terminal. There is no window so it's really just for sleeping. There's a good TV and simple but well thought amenities.
The location is perfect, if you are flying out of Schiphol the next day.
It seems that the hotel is out to make every possible penny it can. There is even a charge for coffee for guests. There was no flexibility about checking in early, although the room was ready (they let us, but charged us extra for a fairly short time). I understand, but the overall feeling was very unfriendly. Also, the description I was sent about how to get to the hotel was very incomplete. When I asked airport information where it was, they sent me to a different Mercure hotel (by shuttle) and we wasted over an hour before we found the right place.
Location, convenient if have early flight
Have to go through passport control each time receptionist has an attitude, not accomodating, shower clogged tv remote missing, have to go to the front desk to get replacement check-in at 8pm! Basically paying for half a day. Have stayed in other mercure hotels Never stayed in a hotel with this rule.
I liked how comfortable my room was. I was able to rest without being disturbed. The rain shower allowed me to relax and refresh before checking out for my next flight.
The air conditioner did not seem to get turned off. The room was a bit chilly.
I found the location convenient, and comfortable. I liked the location, and the ease to roam the airport.
I did not like having to go through passport control to check in the hotel, and then the same to check my bags for my flight following my nights stay.
Although the hotel is located after customs and passport control, it was comfortable and affordable considering I travelled with my mother, an 89 year old who required wheelchair assistance.
It is practical and specially when you fly KLM bussinessclass, but you need a description to come there, that is very difficult, but to bring your suitcases down the next day is terrible.
It was Comforta le
Its a convient hotel right on the airport to be able to make an early departing flight
Convenient for a quick overnight at the airport
The fact that it was in the passport control area made it inconvenient for airport checkin the following day.
Lack of information about the conditions to stay in this hotel. The hotel is located inside of the airport after the passport check. It means that if you go and do your check in in this hotel you have to be already check in your airline and without any luggage besides a carry on.
